Sawmill Plant Wide Audit

PE Tech was retained to complete an Integrated Energy Audit for a sawmill on the west coast of Vancouver Island. The purpose of the audit was to identify energy consumption within the facility and assess energy opportunities where operating costs can be better managed and reduced to achieve long-term savings. Within the study, PE Tech identified energy opportunities, operating efficiencies, and potential for energy generation. Through the study, PE Tech utilized existing operating data, energy consumption data, distribution centers, and production schedules to assess the baseline of energy consumption across the entire facility.  

The audit results along with plant energy use have been collected and organized within an opportunity register to reflect the energy opportunities available for the client to consider achieving an energy efficient and high production operation. All recommendations considered feasibility and production requirements in the final deliverable. PE Tech identified ten opportunities for the client team to consider.
