PET performed an analysis on the Kamyr Continuous Digester Corrosion Probe Spool Assembly (KCPSA) in support of addressing a Non-Conformance ticket issued by Technical Safety BC. As part of an on-going initiative to improve Kamyr Continuous Digester operating conditions through more robust maintenance, the KCPSA was installed onto one of the Kamyr nozzles to allow for corrosion probe utilization. During construction, the KCPSA was hydrotested to 450 psi and all necessary Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE) were completed with associated Integrated Test Plans (ITP). Recommendations were made for future corrosion probe spool installations.
